Halloween Petting Zoo

I have no cute Halloween pictures because Demitri refused to wear his costume. He said that it hurt him. I don't know it could have hurt, he was going to be a fireman. Anyways, we went to the Halloween street fair and Demitri liked the animals in the petting zoo.

Stay Tuned ....

There may be a trim of Demitri's hair sometime in the near future.
We are still in talks about it but it may be happening soon. Stay tuned for pics of the momentous occasion.

Pumpkin Patch

We joined Joe's brother and his family at the pumpkin on Sunday afternoon. The kids loved it. Demitri especially loved kicking the hay and throwing the pumpkins in the air. Oh well, he's only 2 once.

This Is What A Tantrum Looks Like Up Close

I was trying to put on his Halloween costume so we could go Trick or Treating at Joe's shopping center. Demitri wanted no part of the costume. He went Trick or Treating in a pair of pants and no shirt. He said that his costume hurt.

What We Are Watching And Reading

These are Demitri's favorites this week.This DVD is actually pretty entertaining, especially for a kid like mine who is obsessed with fire trucks and fire men. I really enjoyed it the first ten times that we watched it.
This is a fun book. There are many verses to the song that I never knew and I don't mind singing it over and over. It is a sweet song and has a lot of interaction with the spider and her mama. It has become one of D's all time favs and it is too cute to listen to him sing along.

Strangers Love Him Too

Joe and Demitri were hanging at the beach this past weekend and a couple of girls snapped a couple of pics of them. The girls told Joe that they looked so cute together that they had to take the pictures. The girls then emailed the pics to Joe. I think it is pretty special that perfect strangers shower my boys with such attention.

The Wonderful Stuff D Can Look Forward To

I read this in Parents magazine and it made me realize how much Demitri has to look forward to in his life. Parents got the info from a British documentary called The Human Footprint, which compiled stats tracing the average life journey.

During Demitri's life he will most likely :

* eat 10, 354 bars of chocolate
*take 7, 163 baths
*have 104,390 dreams
*walk 15,464 miles
*speak 123,205,750 words
*cry 121 pints of tears
* make 1,700 friends
*take 59 trips abroad
* read 533 books ( lol, i think we have already read this many)
*get 628 Christmas presents ( lol again, i think he is getting close to this one too)

This is from the November 2007 Parents Magazine page 38.

Chopstick Kid

I know that all mothers think think that their children are gifted but I know that mine is. We were eating Chinese food tonight and Demitri requested "sticks" instead of a fork.
Look at the chopstick skills that my kid has at 24 months and 3 weeks old.
